Ethical awareness and skills
Policies and principles only make a difference when people can apply them in real-life situations. We help individuals build ethical awareness, strengthen judgement, and develop the skills needed to navigate difficult decisions with confidence.
With eLearnings, communication and localization solutions, workshops, keynotes, and the LEAP learning platform, we bring ethics to life through reflection, dialogue, and practical application.
We design eLearnings that help people understand expectations, reflect on their own behaviour, and take ownership of ethical decision-making across the organization. Our eLearning solutions bring your Code of Conduct and ethics and compliance topics to life through real scenarios, practical language, and human-centered design – and an efficient localization process to make it accessible for international audiences.
Ethical culture is built through understanding, dialogue, and everyday choices. We help turn principles into practice. Our trainings, workshops, and keynotes are designed to spark insight, strengthen commitment, and turn ethical principles into lived experience. Together, we build a shared understanding of what ethical culture means in your unique context and how it shows up in everyday decisions.
Creating space for conversation builds collective judgment. It normalizes questioning, reflection, and learning from mistakes. In a world where every choice shapes culture Leading with Ethics and Purpose (LEAP), a learning platform for ethical awareness and skills, empowers individuals and organizations to make decisions that matter.
Through inspirational conversations, real-world case studies, and practical tools for reflection and meaningful dialogue, LEAP Series connects theory with practice – supporting, inspiring and challenging good people making good choices.
Examples of our projects

Updating VR’s ethical principles
Code of Conduct Company has had the pleasure of collaborating with VR (external link) in the renewal of its ethical principles (Code of Conduct). Through this partnership, the company’s ethical principles were updated, and an eLearning and a handbook were created to support the integration of VR’s ethical principles into everyday work. Members of the organization from both Finland and Sweden were engaged in the process through value workshops, personal interviews, and leadership sessions.
We developed an interactive eLearning designed to educate employees across the organization about ethical principles. The training encourages reflection on the role of ethics in daily work through engaging exercises and personal reflection.

Anti-corruption as part of Elenia’s leadership training
At Elenia (external link), anti-corruption is included in leadership training as part of a broader development of ethical conduct. Elenia wanted to highlight anti‑corruption as a special theme for its leadership days. The goal was to target this training especially to those supervisors who participate in procurement, recruitment, and decision‑making as part of their work.
Code of Conduct Company had the honor of contributing to the training day. We gave a presentation and facilitated a discussion covering definitions and forms of corruption, research findings, and current examples from the media. The conversation became so engaging that a virtual follow‑up session was recorded and made available afterward.
We had very good and lively discussions. Participants brought up issues many may have considered individually but had not previously been able to articulate or did not have a broader forum for.
The training clearly resonated, and we continued on the same theme with a video training and group discussion three months after the first event. For us, the topic does not remain at the level of written guidelines, it comes up in our everyday work. Everyone can deepen their understanding via further discussions.”

Ethical leadership coaching for prosperous working life
Code of Conduct Company had the pleasure to contribute to a joint project (HYVE) targeted to leaders and entrepreneurs in Lapland’s tourism industry as the provider of ethical leadership coaching. The EU co-funded project, led by Lapland University of Applied Sciences (external link), aims to strengthen the ethical leadership competence of those working in supervisory and management roles as well as entrepreneurs, and to develop workplace practices in order to promote well-being and good working life.
During the coaching programme we met with the participants almost monthly, either in person in Rovaniemi or remotely via virtual sessions. In addition to the in-person and online meetings, participants deepened their understanding of ethical leadership and organizational culture through a curated online learning programme that complemented the coaching. The in-person sessions in particular received a great deal of positive feedback – not only for the content, but also for the opportunity they provided for participants to meet one another around engaging topics and to share experiences with other industry professionals.
Working with Code of Conduct Company made it possible to address the ethical challenges of supervisory work through practical examples, while still being firmly grounded in research-based knowledge.
Niina and Kia succeeded in making even difficult topics concrete and were approachable as trainers. The cooperation was smooth throughout the entire process.”

Q&A
Not exactly. People rarely make ethical decisions by opening a document at the exact moment of pressure – that’s why it is important that the ethical expectations translate beyond the written documents to the company culture. People need to recognize situations, understand expectations and practise judgement before the difficult moments arrive. Documents create the foundation but learning and dialogue help people turn that foundation into action.
eLearning is useful when you need to reach many people in a consistent way. It works well for Code of Conduct implementation, recurring learning needs and legal compliance topics such as anti-bribery, privacy and competition compliance, where effective implementation often requires targeted training. It creates a common baseline and makes sure everyone receives the same core message.
Workshops, keynotes and learning platforms such as LEAP are especially useful when the goal is not only to share information, but to build understanding, commitment and a shared language across the organization. When people hear different perspectives, discuss real-life situations and reflect together, the topic becomes easier to understand – and more relevant to their own work. An eLearning can create a common baseline, whereas conversations help people make sense of it together.
Typical eLearnings include topics such as Code of Conduct as a whole, or more specifically E&C topics such as anti-corruption and conflicts of interest, anti-harassment, speak-up culture, human rights, whistleblowing, responsible business and leadership and ethical decision-making.
Developing ethical awareness and skills in the organization helps people act with more clarity and confidence. This means that ethics and compliance becomes less dependent on documents and more present in daily decisions, team discussions and leadership behavior. It takes building an ethical culture to the next level, from awareness to practical skill.
